There are several kinds of lessons that will help you improve your conversation abilities. My courses include: Idioms: One thing you NEED to know while speaking English in casual conversations is that we use a lot of idioms, which don’t always mean what you think they mean. What does “You’re pulling my leg” mean? Find out when you take my idioms lesson! 🦵 Pronunciation: Improve your clarity while speaking. Did you know seat, sit, set, and sat all have different vowels? How do you pronounce thorough, though, through, threw and throw? I will use the IPA and other techniques to help you learn the correct sounds. 👄 Reading: Reading an article is a great way to learn new vocabulary and correct pronunciation errors. You can pick any article or text for us to read and I will make a lesson out of it. I can add activities in the reading lesson that will help you practice the vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar found in the reading.📚 Listening: In order to have a conversation, you need to understand what the person you speak with is saying. Listening lessons are exactly like reading lessons, but with videos or audios instead of written texts. 👂 Conversation: Speak about any topic with me and I will correct your errors on the screen. What do you like to eat? What do you do at work? What is something interesting that happened this week? You can pick the topics yourself if you so choose. We never run out of topics to talk about and I will help you have productive conversations about these topics. 😃 Do you speak Spanish, Persian, or Arabic? I do! So feel free to contact me in these languages outside of class if necessary.
